Our goal at Sweetwater Stables is to produce high quality and naturally gaited Foxtrotters for the trail and the show ring. Breeding for quality means bringing many traits together.
First you must have pedigree and blood lines that have proved themselves through the years to be able to produce naturally gaited horses.
Secondly, correct confirmation so your animal stays sound for a lifetime of enjoyment for both you and your horse.
Thirdly, great disposition. This is so important so that you have a horse that you can trust and the horse that will trust you;; thus making a very trainable animal.
Lastly, a breeder must work to bring color that will be very appealing to the owner. This will give you a very talented and beautiful horse that you can ride in rugged terrain or enter into the show ring and be very proud of!!
